A Benefit for Coral Bays Flag Ship SILVER CLOUD

Friends of Silver Cloud, a 110-foot schooner, are lending a helping hand for owner Elliot Hooper to replace three masts. The historically significant vessel, built-in 1899, was dismasted by hurricane Irma. Silver Cloud served as a fireboat in WWI and WWII. In the Virgin Islands, she is a rescue and salvage ship rendering urgent aid after tropical storms. Operation as a volunteer boat Silver Cloud has hosted hundreds of community events: youth sailing, church and school benefits, weddings, memorials, celebrations, and regattas.
